Key Recovering... Stan

Hi Stan,

I do have an update for any who are interested (regarding PTG status). At
our last chapter meeting, I submitted my application, and was voted into
membership! I guess there's more of the official type stuff that takes some
time to process, but I'm making an effort.

15 years ago, someone did me the dis-service of telling me that the PTG was
just a club for the good ol' boys, and I really shouldn't bother. I only
wish I'd checked things out earlier. My life could have been quite
different.

Yes, yes, yes. I'm hungry for knowledge. The light is just beginning to
come on as to the amount of knowledge to be gleaned from the fine people who
have written the materials that you refer to. (And from the local chapter,
and the List, and from those helpful people I've been meeting by e-mail.)

This may seem like a silly question, but how can I become more aware of just
how many and what services, bulletins, manuals, Pace plans, study guides,
etc., etc., are available through the PTG? I joined because of my desire to
become a part of something bigger than myself, a desire to be a friend and a
comrade of my fellow tradesmen. But there's much more to be had here, and
I'm lookin'!

I'll be checking out the name Spurlock in the Journals later today, looking
for his articles. (I don't have an index. My boss just passes on the
Journals after he has a chance to page through them. But that'll be
changing soon!) I think I'll try to get in touch with Randy Potter's
organization too. Can' hurt to see what he's got.

Thanks for the reply Stan. I appreciate it.

Best wishes,

Brian Trout
