David: I have been trying to figure out for some time what has happened in the last few years with the PTG. I went through a nasty, long divorce from 92-95. Fern was pres. then, if I remember right, and I pretty much lost touch with the PTG (lost my RPT status too - missed my dues in ''93 -real smart...). When I started to get involved with the PTG again I heard that something had happened with Fern, Bill and the PTG; and the associate status was established (I'm not sure when that happened). Basically I don't know what went on during those years. Finding myself drawn back into involvement with the PTG at the local chapter (Pomona Valley) and national (CAUT) level, I wish I knew more about what has gone on over the last several years - and I wish I could hear it from all sides. I would be interested in your take on it. I have my own preferences/prejudices about some of the issues, but have little or no knowledge of our (PTG's) recent history. Do you mind sharing with me what the events and issues are as you see them? Feel free to be as general or specific as your comfort level allows.
