Hey Dave,

No, the smart bar light is not the same as the low water warning light. The
systems with the smart bar has a panel of three lights. The green light
indicates power is on to the unit, the amber light indicates low water; the
red light indicates the pads need changeing.

The systems without the smart bar only have the low water warning light. If
the pads cake up with minerals they wont absorb any water on top of the
humidifier bar, but the bar will heat up when the humistat calls for
humidity, thus dehumidifying when it should be doing the opposite!

The smart bar system won't allow this to happen. Pretty smart huh.

DC is now supplying a humidifier treatment additive that greatly extends the
pad life. I highly recommend its use.

Get the installation video from DC and make some easy money while helping
your customer proctect their investment and making your next tuning on the
instrument a lot easier.

Hope this helps.
