Thanks for the multiple (and myriad) responses, even though I really didn't
intend to 'rattle' the list with this trivia.

Although I wasn't personally watching the show, I was thinking: a) it was a
trick question, which it apparently was; or b) the show's researchers had
made a mistake. In the latter case, it wouldn't be the first time (remember
the guy from NC who went back on the show during the premier?)

Hmmm. I only had 18th~19th Century Composition (Eastman text <yawn>), and a
couple years of private study in 12-tone composition (a variation of
Schoenberg minus the errors). The closest I can recall to any discussion of
this was when the music of other cultures, such as Oriental, Eastern, etc.
were mentioned. Either I wasn't paying attention or, I really was absent
that day! 8-}
