Hi Ed,

How about a hint or two???

Was it the damper that stuck up not allowing the sound to shut off while the
rest of the action returned to rest?

Did the key return to it's normal resting position? or was it stuck down?

Did it matter if the damper or shift pedal was depressed?

My mind is thinking anything between a misadjusted sostenuto to a warped
keyslip to an elongated balance rail hole to a bent rail pin to...and the
list just keeps on going...

How's about a little hint to help us narrow it down a bit? :-)
