Them's dangerous words...here in Australia, we have learned that the white powder can also be an arsenic powder, used to keep the moths, mice and other piano-unfriendly mites away. Cleaning it up must be undertaken with great care! Use a mask. Double up the output filter on the vacuum, clean yourself up immediately afterwards. Mind you, as a previous post said it can also be baby powder, not used as a moisture control, but as an action lubricant, back then, too much was never enough!
