Hi Stan,
             The 40 Watt Weller iron has a 1/4" hole for the bit and the 80
watt is 3/16"
I think Rob has hit on a good idea, lot's for us to play with.
On the subject of pins, last week I had a jumpy pin that was border line
loose,  guess what, 2 or 3 drops of thin CA, the pin tightened up and no
more jumping in either direction.
Originally pulling the pin up seemed as if the pin was real tight then snap
up it jumped, going back it took little or no effort to make it drop quite
a bit.
The glue ended up making it feel quite normal, in both directions.
Makes one wonder whats happening inside that hole?
