Of course the key bed could be the source of the problem, but loud
mechanical noises could be from the setting of the pedal strike force, or
from solenoid rail sections that are set (have fallen) too low so that
the rubber tips on the strikers do not contact the key at rest.  Try
analyzing this problem on the basis of whether the noise is all the time,
only when pedaling, or more pronounced in one area of the keyboard.  If
you find adjustments are needed to the PianoDisc, I would suggest working
on the problem jointly with an experienced PD installer in your area.
