Clark For what it's worth, i used the split cloth and installed it in a very similar fashion that you used. They worked well, i thought, but I never saw anyone use them or heard any talk of them so I assumed they weren't the strap of choice. Maybe someone else can comment on them????? I have only a few years expierence so I may not be such a good source for an expert opinion.
