None have gotten noisy and they stay in place for the length of the strap. The catcher shank won't shrink that much in 20 or 30 years! Bill Schlipf Bloomington, IL wjstuner@juno.com >> The catcher shank will not shrink but by adding CA to the shank what happens when it is time to replace them again? You may end up ripping the shank apart to get the strap off, then you end up replace shanks, hammers........... Hide glue, whether liquid or cooked, will allow the straps to steam off cleanly or by adding a mixture of wallpaper remover and water. Plain straps work much better in this case.
