sheldon smith replacement?

Mr. Creasy,

We hear this sort of thing all the time.  I am sure that every city 
has their "Sheldon Smith" who is irreplacable.  I take it you have
tried other technicians in the Bay Area and found them lacking?  
If so, what was lacking?  No amount of skill is going to break 
through "mystique".
