Sustain pedal plastic

I used to tune those things all the time in Pennsylvania.  I think she is
referring to the piece that attaches to the bottom of the piano.  It is the
piece that the pedal "rides" on when you depress the pedal.  A Pedal  has a
small rod on each side of it that fits into that plastic piece.  I don't
know the technical jargon to describe this.
