Tuning Problem

Dear Mathew,

Mason & Hamlin are notorious for having excessive friction at the
bearing points because the string goes through severe bends from
speaking length to Tuning pins. If the strings are old they will
render poorly. You can turn the pin a lot before anything changes so
it is difficult to find a stable point.
Tuning with a solid firm blow is more helpful in this situation.

Does this unit have a humidistat attached. If not that could
contribute to the problem. A complete climate control system is ten
times better than just parts of it.
