What do you do with a square action?

Hi all,
    Yes there is a square on the American Queen Steamboat. when I was last
there tuning the steam calliope, I passed through one of the larger Salons
and noticed someone "tuning" a square. When I investigated, the case had
been gutted and a digital "piano" placed in its stead.  The piano still
looked beautiful, with all of its rosewood veneer.....but somehow I felt
uneasy.
