Plastic (old) elbow dilemma

I just went back and read this article again. Good article, but I'd do a 
couple of things differently: She talks about being sure to tighten all 
screws when the action is out of the piano. Since the flanges are often 
plastic, just waiting to break, I don't touch them! I've also heard another 
tip which can shorten the job. If you take a small felt-tip marker, and 
draw a line across the sticker where it comes out of the old elbow, and 
turn the new ones on to match, you'll have almost no lost motion to do 
afterwards.
