> mix yellow carpenters glue with super glue

You misunderstand. First the two are NOT mixed. One is used on one
surface the other on the other. The moisture in the yellow or white
glues acts as an accelerator for the CA and causes it to fix or set
faster. The same can be accomplished by putting the accelerator on
one surface.

Second CA is crazy glue or super glue but the latter two are generally
inferior to CA which is available in larger containers, two ounces,
and of a far superior quality and much fresher. CA does have a
limited shelf life and the industrial material is stronger and
fresher.

The problem with using CA with other glues and the accelerator is that
there is very limited movement time. When they stick they stick and
cannot be moved.

When I have two difficult items to stick together like ivory and wood
I use accelerator on bother surfaces and allow it to evaporate
completely then put on the CA. The accelerator acts as a surface
preparation by cleaning and dissolving any oils or other contaminates.
