You got it!!  A number of pins were bent to far FORWARD in the key mortise,
causing them to bind at full dip.  Although the dip and after touch were
correct, when pushed slowly there was a slight unwanted "spring" built into the
keys when they reached bottom.  When Played normally the keys would immediately
spring slightly upward during a blow causing a mushy feel and causing the back
checks to slip out.  Everything seems to be okay during the typical diagnosis,
"it just don't play right!!"
