fingernail polish

I remember a case like that happened to me several years ago.

Unfortunately the moment they applied fingernail polish to the tops, they
already damaged its natural polish. Fingernail polish comes diluted in
something like tuluol, which properties
are very similar to Acetone, so damage is already done to the surface of the
tops. The only thing left to do is sanding and buffing or changing.
