Hi Jim,

I have a Hoover Swinger that is now about 25 years old. It has a very
powerful motor and is a little heavy. The demonstration used in selling
it was to have the customer lift it to get an idea of the weight and then
hold the face of the vacuum up to a door or wall or any really flat
surface and turn it on. Then they turn loose of it and the suction holds
it up.

It has a larger cloth bag than most cleaners this size and is
considerably heavier than most. If you can find one though, it is a very
reliable vacuum. I just recently bought my wife an Oreck and the little
vacuum came with it. (It should when considering what I paid!) This is
the one that lifts the bowling ball. If the attachment were to fit the
Hoover, I have now doubt that it too would lift the bowling ball.
