I just know that it was redesigned recently to correct small deffects,
strike point being one. The new one has a 3 on the tail of the plate and is
much improved over the older one.

Subject: Steinway B plate change

A client of mine recently asked me about the change in Steinway's plate to
improve
the striking point (plate no. L2 to L3) about 2 years ago.

Does anyone know anything about this? He said a dealer had told him about
it.
