Dear Fellow Technicians Today I glued a set of bridal straps on non holed catcher hammer butts. I prefer this over spring clip because they tend to get noisy. If the hole is there, I like to use the cork straps. Some feel the overall best way is to always glue them on. I have glued to the backside of the catcher. Today I glued right where I cut the old straps off. Is there an advantage in methods, either way I described? After several years in the business I have never really thought through the methods. What the bridal strap is there for. Repetition. Lining the jack under the hammer butt so it will not lock up the hammer. Other ideas? Hope I did not open up another can of worms.
