Wim.. I am sorry to have to do this.. but my conscious just wont allow me
otherwise.

It is true enough the Petrofs have a pleasing tone. It is also true that there
are many problems assosiated with Petrof pianos. Our freind Wim has obviously let
himself become quite taken by the sound and initial impression one gets from
these pianos (grin.. I've seen this before). Be that as it may Petrof is in no
way even close to being in the same ballpark as Steinway and Yamaha (I cant speak
about Kawais as I have nearly no experience with them)

Petrofs are like 5 steps down on the price ladder... that should tell you
something right there, and nooooo I am sorry low worker wages just dont answer
that.

Let me put it to you this way James.. If a Petrof will serve your needs.. then
just about any cheap piano that has a sound you like will do just fine. You first
mentioned Steinway, Yamaha, or Kawaii. If you have money for the quality
represented by the first two (at least) then stick with them.
