I also use S&T 2000. The little squares can also appear when you are at a large scale, i.e. you have not zoomed in close to wherever. If you have several points of interest in one area and you are zoomed out, it will show just three little squares. If you zoom in far enough, you will then see your specific points with whatever symbol you designated, i.e. push pin, big red dot (I use that for my clients),etc. This is a great program. When a new client has just given you their address, and while they are giving you some convoluted impossible-to-understand directions, you just say to them "oh, are you located about a half mile past Smith Street, right across for Bozo Park", and they say "oh, yes, how did you know that?"
