This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment The first of all is to say: I HOPE HAPPY EASTER TO ALL ! I need to apply a new set of Hammers head in a SCHIEDMAYER grand that = was restored by a unauthorized person that changed the original hammers = set by another. The hammers set that is applied on the piano is out of order in all = ways: bored with a lot of bad angles, with 12 different bore distances = from the stringing point, the hammers aren't 90 degrees with the shank = etc. etc The problem is serious but I think that is a good job to apply a new = hammers set. To solve the problem from where to bore the each hammer I will try use = the formula that Newton Hunt send to me some time ago: the bore distance = from stringing point =3D the height of the strings - 2mm - the height = from the key bed to the pin of the hammer shank flange. This I think = will solve the problem I need help to: 1 - Calculate the correct bore angle of the bass hammers heads. I think = that may be the same angle to all bass hammers head. The angle from the = tenor to the treble is easy because I may measure the trichords angle to = each note. 2 - Calculate the distance from the shank center pin to glue the new = hammers in order to obtain the correct stringing point. If possible I would like also to read sometinhg about this all.=20 Thanks to all Rogerio Cunha IC Member of the Guild rogeriocunha@openlink.com.br ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
