Zounds

Questions: Is the sound coming from the bass strings or the bass side of the
piano?
Are they new or original bass strings, either way could be bad windings?
Are you hearing the sound from just chipping up or do you have it all tuned
and playing it with the action in?
Are the bass strings seated on the bridge?
Is there adequate down bearing?
