SAT users only

No sweat. Just push the centers of the little plastic rivet thingys. The
piece will fall inside the case but no big deal. Just remove it once it is
open. THey can be used many times over, there is no problem there.

Rechargeable batteries can be purchased at most any electronics supply store,
(go to a real one, not Radio Shack. Check the yellow pages). The batteries are
just AA NiCads. Batteries for applications such as this are available with
soldering connection tabs already on them so you don't need anything fancy.
Obviously make certain you are getting the +/- in the right direction. Some
older SATs had a sealed battery pack but all it takes is four AAs connected in
series to do it. Once you have it all soldered up, use some shrink tubing and
shrink wrap the whole kit and caboodle. Then glue it to the inside of the SAT
case as it was originally, (PVC-E dried overnight works nicely). The whole
operation will probably cost you less then twelve bucks.
