Hi,
I actually found a battery pack at Radio Shack, that was the exact size.
It had the same mAH also.
When replacing the battery, have the unit plugged into the charger. That
way when the battery is disconnected, just in case the one for the
memory is low. You won't lose the housekeeping info.
I left mine out in very cold weather once, and the batteries went below
there hold on voltage. I had to take it back to get it reprogrammed.
I don't leave it in the van anymore.
That is one thing good about the SAT lll, it has a flash memory. I think
that is what it is called. So it shouldn't lose it's memory in the cold.
