Les, I have a suggestion since you are unsure. Why not do a few fast, and a few slow? You can easily check for scorching with one of those fiber optic attachments for the Mini Maglite flashlight. This would be a golden opportunity to prove whether the current wisdom about scorching is true. I do not know for sure because I have not done the experiment <g>, but I would not think that the wood would get that hot just by turning out a pin. However, I reserve the right to be wrong. You da man, and can report back to us after your experiment. :-) I would be interested in what you find.
