On one like this, a router would probably be too tall to fit in between the keybed and the bottom of the pinblock. Another option that might also be a little messy but could possibly work fairly quickly might be a power plane followed by a sanding wheel (maybe on a grinder) to smooth things out a bit. It is the bottom of the pinblock, so it's not a highly visible thing. The only thing that would worry me is the stretcher. Sometimes the front edge hangs down farther than the bottom of the pinblock, which would make it even more of a pain. Good luck, Brian Trout Quarryville, PA btrout@desupernet.net
