Bill, Many thanks for all this info. > Del Fandrich had a 9' version of this piano which he rebuilt. You might get > him to tell you about it - he really liked it, I think. Del please do tell.... > I have a few pictures of the 6' Bauer which I rebuilt. I could send you a > jpg file if you would like. I'd be most interested and would appreciate you sending them. I'm a little ignorant here but I think I can down load it - I'm not too competant on computers - this is an old Mac - > The action in the Bauers I have seen was always a Wessell action, but that > had to change after Wurlitzer took over the Bauer name (I think Wessell was > gone by then, too). This looks like a Wessell to me. Other features- about 6 trichords in the first bass area. No aggraffes in the treble. The bridges looked substantial - but I could only get the short stick up before hitting the wall. I'll have to return to do a more thorough inspection.> > The Journal had a piece on the Bauer grand 10 or 15 years ago. The index > should help find it. So now I have a driving reason to tackle the job of going into the index. I'll give it a try. Thanks Bill Dan J in Wmbg VA
