I'm finding the posts regarding service from the piano supply houses very interesting and will now add my two cents worth. I rarely deal with APSCO any more. There was a young lady by the name of Maria who answered the phone and took orders. She was very courteous. However, there was an older woman who also took phone orders and she had all the charisma of Madame DeFarge. Furthermore, a few years ago I ordered two organ covers for a customer. For at least six weeks I neither received the order nor heard a word from APSCO. I finally called them and eventually spoke to the owner who informed me that I had given some incorrect information with regard to measurements (my fault, I admit). He was very courteous to me, took the correct measurements I gave him and said the order would be sent shortly. I never got it. When I called back about a month later, I spoke to the gentleman ( and I use that term loosely) who made the covers, told him that I had spoken to the owner and he proceeded to dictate to me that I had not spoken to the owner at all and all but accused me of being a liar. That was the last straw. I did eventually get the order and have not dealt with them since. With regard to Schaff, I have nothing but praise for their courteous and quick service and so I stand as witness for the defense. Case closed! :-) I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Pianotek, but will do so in the future based upon the comments I've seen in this forum. My thanks and appreciation to all who contribute information to this room and for giving me leads on getting the quilted covers with locks for my customer. A G Bajada
