hammer traveling...

I've decided to use my fellow tech's "jig", used for making butt flange
spring loops for yamaha U1. I'm not doing this to save money, as a whole set
is only about $32, but I figured since I would be using the same exact
flange, I wouldn't have to "travel" them. OOOPS! for some reason, when i
reinstall the flanges with the new loops, (I can make five at a time) and
realign the hammers so they are perfectly spaced, when I travel them
forward, they are not all keeping a uniform path...they were before! Is
there something I'm doing wrong? I hope I won't have to shim every one now!
They are the same flanges that were spaced and traveling uniformly before i
took them out. Any ideas? Thanks.
