Just accepted a call to tune an (1899?) Steinway square grand. I've never tuned one before, so should I be worried? Are any special tools needed? Are there any tricks to opening the lid? Do I use the regular FAC setup technique for the SATIII, or is there a standard setting available? Should I expect string breakage and if so, do they use regular piano wire/strings? Any response would help alleviate my fear in taking on this job, as the owner told me other tuners had turned her down. Phil Ryan Miami Beach, FL
