John, I remember a while ago that I needed to install Yamaha hammers, called Yamaha, and at that time just wanted to install hammers on the original shanks. They told me that it was cheaper to buy pre glued hammers than just ordering the hammers themselves! Go figure. It was a much better way to go. I was pleased with the result.
