Mehlins are known to be heavily constructed in the past. If the piano is of recent manufacture it will have been made in Asia and not as well made as the original Mehlins. If the piano is from the twenties and earlier then it is built like a rock. Stability should be considerable. I have tuned several older grands and found no problems with them, including their uprights. Newton
