John, I've got a copy of it, and I could forward text and gifs to anyone interested. A more proper reference to the book is Bealer, Alexander W. Old Ways of Working Wood, The Techniques and Tools of a Time-Honored Craft, revised ed. Bonanza Books, NY. 1989. ISBN 0-517-69313-5 It's a nice little book (with homey illustrations by the author) covering everything from felling to scraping at latest from a 19th century perspective. One of the Fine Woodworking books shows a router/lathe jig for cutting very large wooden screws. Cheers, Clark
