Almost any type of solvent, even acetone, will not harm the high gloss
(assuming here that it is polyester-not lacquer.  Test first!).
Fantastic, Simple Green, or other degreasers will also work.  Mohawk has
a product called Wax Wash which will remove almost anything.  Naptha
(more toxic) would also work.  I recommend Meguiar's #10 and/or #17,
which are specifically meant for plastics like plexiglas or Lexan, and
recommended by Meguiar's for plastic polyester finishes.
