Need help...Balwin 6'3" 1920-30s...More

I just checked the nosebolt on the Y strut.... It was so loose you  can
turn with fingers. It feels like it has stripped out.  That would allow
the strut to bow up and would have broken the other strut at the top as
it did. Am I correct?
