Hi Richard, My Lester has Betsy Ross on the righr side of the fallboard and Lester in the center. As far as I can tell the pedal box was held in place by a block of wood thet sticks out from the center of the bottom cross beam. all rods are missing but the parts that the rods go into are still there. What seems to have happened is that the last time the piano was moved into storage the box holding the pedals must have come unglued from the lyre and then became separated from the rest of the piano in the years that followed. The present owners purchased the instrument at a storage auction O:( Buyer Look Out!!
