Another thought:

If the tracks were made when you moved the piano, then there would be two sets
of tracks. One when you moved the piano away from the wall and another set
when you moved the piano back. That's a lot of marks.

Investigate the tracks and patterns. Don't get stuck by a sleazy individual
blaming
you so he can get his floors refinished at no cost.
