The solution for the two steel tangents marring the floor is two pieces of
1" x 4" oak about 3' long with carpeting glued on one side. Place these in
line where the steel tangents will contact the floor. The carpeted planks
(carpet side down) take and distribute the load on the tilter to the
carpeted oak planks. Once the piano is over the casters take over on the
tilter.

Once again for any newbies: Jeston the clamps that come with the tilter and
use a strap clamp to secure the tilter to the piano.

Good tilting.
