Dear people, Last night, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra had a concert which was very much out of the ordinary. They were performing the Camille Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony. However there is not an organ in the place were the concerts are usually held. They had the organist playing his instrument in a church elsewhere in Reykjavík, and brought his performance via optic cable onto a huge movie screen. The organist himself was watching the conductor on a small screen in the church. This went all very well and the sound was reportedly very good. Ah, the new millenium, Kristinn Leifsson, Reykjavík, Iceland
