I have had this conversation with 2 local piano dealers..the conversation that involves carrying larger verticals as opposed to smaller Grands..their point is this: They will sell the small Grand long before the larger vertical..there is a certain prestige to owning a grand as opposed to a vertical..tone quality?..what's that?!? Right now, in 2 different dealers in this area, there is a Baldwin 6000 in one dealership, and a very old S&S Upright in another..both of them blow away anything less than 6' on their floor right now, and that includes the S&S M that this upright stands next to. Del, would you agree, to a point, that the 6000, dollar for dollar, is the best thing from Truman right now? To these ears, it is...maybe you had a hand in its design? Rook ps - both of these dealerships have way too many verticals in their inventory right now. You can buy one for next to nothing..but their Grand inventory is..let's say..slim.
