Hi Paul, Yes, 40watts Weller, I find 80watts too hot, I can singe the felt when dry ironing to brighten the tone. I dry iron after all major voicing jobs, either steam or needles. I have found that it always produces a few bright stand outs that need correction. This leads to more stable job, and minimal recalls. regards Roger At 07:42 AM 28/11/00 -0600, you wrote: >Roger >Am I to assume you are using the electric hammer voicing iron form the >supply houses? > >Paul Chick > >Roger wrote: > The tip of the iron becomes very >> precise in locating where you want the steam to be active. >> Using the iron inverted will also target a zone of the hammer accurately. >> Two curved surfaces just touching. >> Regards roger >> Roger Jolly >> Saskatoon, Canada. >> 306-665-0213 >> Fax 652-0505 >> > Roger Jolly Saskatoon, Canada. 306-665-0213 Fax 652-0505
