I wonder if the nuke thing would work better if you first removed the glue collar, and then wet the shank down near the butt with a few drops of vodka? It wicks in, you see, and steam will soften the glue faster than dry heat ... well, that is a theory, anyway. If the shank and butt explode, and ruin the microwave and short out the wiring and blow the computer, let us know ... oops, you won't be able to tell us. Susan Kline
