Thanks to everyone for the advice on the pedal re-work. As it turns out there was no room for any kind of capstan screw, so I just put in a carefully sized shim and action felt as a damper pedal lever stop. And upon closer examination, the dowel through the guide hole in the keybed was not sqeaking, so I just left it be (with a little more graphite on the leather lining). I may rebuild it someday, but it seems to be working OK for now. -Robert Scott Detroit-Windsor Chapter
