For those of you like me who wish to wear a dress shoe I suggest Allen
Edmonds; http://www.allenedmonds.com as they offer very good quality with
metatarsal arch support, leather lining, and most important - have them
properly fitted. You won't believe the results. It is a little known fact
that most people buy shoes in sizes that are too short in length and
therefore have to be of great width to accomodate the foot. Unfortunately,
an improper length puts the widest part of your foot into a narrower part of
the shoe, instead into the widest part of the shoe where it belongs. For
example, I can get into a pair of 9 1/2 EEE but a 10 1/12 C or 11B is the
right size. Unfortunately most shoe manufacturers make only one or two
widths, reg or wide - Allen Edmonds offers some styles in widths from AAAA
to EEE.
