The job is finally finished, and all seems well. It was a good learning experience. I will admit my last bushings were better and easier to install after I figured out how wide to cut the felts. The red inner felt was cut about 5/8" wide and the outer felt (thin black) was about 1". I sprayed contact adhesive from a can on each piece and glued them together. It was easier to insert. The excess width of the outer thin felt helped complete the circle around the inner felt. When I finally got the width right, there wasn't much sizing needed. I also put the seam towards the treble side so I could bend the damper wire slightly to the bass side. We'll see how it wears. Thanks to all for the helpful advice. Paul McCloud
