There is some useful lumber in the case if you can get it apart. The
laminated keybed makes a great work surface or desktop etc. The back timbers
are usually quite stout (I made a head board for a bed out of two and a
piece of wrought iron fence. Looks cool!). The plate might be saved for some
musically related art project (see November 1995 Journal cover photo)! Of
course your problem (it sure is mine!) might be sufficient storage space for
all these things.
