(un)breakable Palms

Last month, I was walking from garage to house in the dark and the rain, and
my Palm III fell on the ground. In only its rather flimsy and non protective
flip case, it sat face down all night in torrential rain. You might say a
river ran through it. Imagine my dismay upon seeing it the next morning. I
held it in front of the car heater vent for a few minutes on the way to my
first tuning and then turned it on. It worked perfectly, never better. A few
days later I had to do my first reset ever when it wouldn't turn on. All's
well since. No other problems whatsoever. Some people have all the luck :-)
I've also had it jump off my belt clip onto asphalt while running, as well
as countless shirt pocket /bend over mishaps (hence the belt clip).
